OWLKEYME presents a focused, high-impact two-day program adapted from our proven multi-week model bringing rites of passage content together with hands-on creative practice for up to 30 participants. This isn't a taster. It's a journey. Over two days, young people move through five creative disciplines, each paired with a theme central to the passage from adolescence into adulthood. The result is a genuine platform for self-expression that builds toward a shared moment of completion and honouring marking not just what participants learned, but who they became. The Five Disciplines & Their Themes Hip Hop Dance - Identity & Presence Finding your movement, finding yourself. Students explore how they carry themselves and take up space with confidence. Rapping - Voice & Leadership Learning to speak up and be heard. Students develop the skill and courage to lead with their own words. Singing - Vulnerability & Expression Opening up through melody. Students practice the discipline of being emotionally honest in front of others. Krump - Struggle & Release Channelling raw energy and hardship into powerful, disciplined performance — transforming struggle into strength. Barbering - Self-Presentation & Community Care, craft, and pride. Students learn that how we present ourselves - and how we care for one another - is an act of respect and belonging. Together, these disciplines build toward the program's final thread: legacy - what each young person takes forward, and what they leave behind for those who come after them. Program Structure Day 1: Foundation & Exploration participants are introduced to each discipline and its rites of passage theme, building trust, skill, and openness within the group Day 2: Depth & Culmination participants deepen their practice and prepare a piece of work to share, leading into a closing ceremony that honours their growth and marks their passage Why It Matters Rites of passage give young people something modern life often withholds: a clear, communal marker of change.
